EKKA 2023 Results

A very strong line of Gelbvieh cattle at the Brisbane Ekka this year with 21 head from 6 exhibitors. The judge was David Bondfield, who is from the infamous Palgrove stud and has judged around the world. He commented on what a strong line up of Gelbvieh cattle and he had been admiring the breed for a while.
The Ribbons were shared around evenly showing how even the cattle all really were. A good crowd was at ring side and watching live from around the world. Clyde Johnson from the Norolle Gelbvieh stud presented his award for most successful exhibitor to Chris Braithwaite.

- Reserve Junior Champion bull was won by Midas T036 exhibited by Chris Braithwaite.
- Senior and Grand Champion Female was Midas Emm R031 exhibited by Chris Braithwaite.
- Reserve Senior Champion Female was Midas Zena exhibited by Chris Braithwaite.
- Senior and Grand Champion Bull was Weetalabah Sandalwood exhibited by Aderian and Julie Nixon.
- Reserve Senior Champion Bull was Kevlor Stirred exhibited by Annie Minehan.
The new breed shirts looked amazing and got rave reviews from exhibitors and viewers.
